Established in 2015 by Ahmet Ozokur, 3rd generation member of Ulker Family and Yıldız Holding stakeholder, to manage some part of his own private wealth.
We invest in many assets classes, including direct investments to early stage tech
companies, real estate/assets, venture
capital funds and quoted markets.
Our investment strategy is opportunistic, we have flexibility in our investment
approach such that:
As captive money we do not have a set view on exit timing and so are not restricted by investment holding periods.
It’s more than capital, it’s about sustainable, long-term partnerships. We work alongside our partners to provide the right balance of strategic, operational and financial support.
Above everything else we uphold honesty, truthfulness and sincerity and remain fair and ethical in even the most trying situations.
Our success is dependent upon our people and their commitment to excellence. We value the passion and teamwork we display.
Accountability is the foundation of our values. Trust is built upon common goals, respect, and fulfilment of commitments.
We treat our people, entrepreneurs, business partners and suppliers with mutual respect and sensitivity. We value the diversity and unique contributions each individual brings to the table.
This commitment to excellence is achieved through passion, leadership, empowerment and our dedication. Excellence of our conduct leads to distinctive outputs for our stakeholders.
VERA CAPITAL and its partners invest in niche residential development projects in Istanbul. Often times we prefer to go in with partners who have vast experience in real estate. The real estate portfolio is capped at 20% of AUM.
Vera Capital, invests in projects that generate regular distributions with attractive yields in excess of public markets through direct participate in Healthcare PPP projects in Turkey.
We are a global, technology-focused investment firm pursuing the most promising companies and ideas.
Our firm makes venture capital investments in North America, Northern Europe and Turkey. We work hard, but humbly, and are guided by data-driven processes. We seek out extraordinary businesses and leaders who operate the same way.
We seek founders who create new technologies or build upon the expanding capabilities of technology to develop new markets, change behaviours, and solve important problems. We look for new ideas and business models. We understand the risk in being too early to an original idea or next-generation concept — it's what defines our vision and our culture: investing in the next order of consequential, far-reaching, and change-enabling companies.
We generally invest in the Series Seed and/or Series A rounds and typically make initial investments in the range of $500,000 to $750,000. We also make targeted follow-on investments of up to $5 million within our existing portfolio companies.
Vera Capital Funds are active investors in growth capital, venture capital and distressed/special situations.
VERA invests in VC funds, special purpose vehicles, co-investments and direct private investments. We seek opportunities that emphasize a wide range of investment advantages that may include proprietary technology, leading market share, strong growth potential and/or private control, supervision and ownership.
